SSON’s annual Shared Services Excellence Awards honor, recognize and promote both captive and outsourced shared services that demonstrate winning practices.

These Awards form the industry’s benchmark in terms of best practice and business excellence.  Open to all captive and outsourced shared services organizations from all countries, the awards are judged by a panel of leading industry experts. They provide an opportunity for shared services and outsourcing professionals to gain recognition for excellence and initiative - and, this year, for YOU to nominate those peers you believe to be most worthy of that recognition.

Shared Services Excellence Awards 2010

Proudly hosted by SSON, the awards are now in their seventh year. Each awards programme culminates in a presentation to the winners at Shared Services Week in Asia, USA, Europe and Australia.

Why Should I Enter?
The awards are great motivation and provide the opportunity for some much deserved recognition. The awards ceremonies themselves are also great fun and provide a chance for teams to celebrate together and share the glory for a night.

Modus Operandi
Six months before the awards take place on each continent SSON canvasses the market, asking you, the shared services and sourcing specialists on each continent, who you feel deserves respect and attention for the work they have done in each category. Rather than rely purely on self-nominations, we are also asking the market to vote.

Why Should I Nominate my Peers?
Excellence in any field deserves recognition, and the shared services and outsourcing space is no different - and who better to raise awareness of the vital successes taking place around the world than the practitioners who can truly recognise superlative work when they see it? You can help bring into the limelight some of the hitherto unsung heroes and heroines who truly make the difference.

Global Awards Governance Body
This year SSON has invited a global awards governance body to oversee the awards, to make the application process faster and simpler as we move to third-party voting and to aid in identification of the best work being done this year. The global judges are not involved in actual physical judging of applications.

We have invited a stellar group of advisers, practitioners, consultants and outsourcers who know the "who, what and where" of best practice in shared services and outsourced operations globally:

Regional Judging Panels
These are unique to each continent; they are four groups of experienced practitioners (no advisors, consultants or outsourcers are involved in physical judging) who have the experience to recognise best practice. It is the regional judges who judge the applications.
