Oxford, UK, 1 August 2013 – A new employee referral service that launches today, Talentpools (www.talentpools.me ) brings affordable software to start-ups and small and medium sized businesses wanting to harness the power of recommendation from their existing staff. The service connects employers with employee referrals, using social media to build a diverse candidate pool, more suited to the company culture and at a much lower cost.

Traditional referral processes have been paper-based and even those automated fail in many cases to provide the referee with a notable candidate experience. Talentpools gives all members access to a dashboard where they can see their status, view company communications and build a brand connection with the employer. Members have the option to stand out from the crowd by creating a dynamic profile that allows them to market their abilities in a way traditional systems do not. Employers can house alumni, current employees and potential staff in one place and capitalise on referrals from all elements of the talent chain.

Employers use Talentpools to communicate with relevant candidates through "talent pools". Employers create a pool to reflect a skill set or job opening to drive an accurate response to unlock positions quickly, engage with talent and broaden their candidate pipeline.

Talentpools is run by a management team with extensive recruitment experience gained in Europe, Africa and the USA. Dan Padbury, Founder and CEO of Talentpools gained 20 years’ experience in talent acquisition with large corporates and start-ups. Commenting on the launch, he said: "We saw an opportunity to deliver a light-touch service to start-ups and small- to medium sized corporates who needed quick results. We have configured simple functionality to allow employers to unlock referrals quickly and attract new talent. We expect users to benefit from reduced attrition over time, as referrals are typical a better company fit with greater longevity. "

"We wanted to challenge some of the existing providers with a low-cost solution that required minimal integration or configuration so employers could be up and running on that day. We will offer flexible webinars to train people up and provide technical assistance where necessary, at no added cost," added Tim Barry, Head of Sales and Marketing.
