Karen has responsibility for HR initiatives focused on process reinvention, large volume transactional delivery, technology platform strategy and building high functioning teams to enable a best in class shared services model. 

In this role, she is driving transformational imperatives to centralize work, ensure quality, speed of delivery and bringing value to the bottom line through reduced cost per transaction.  Areas of responsibility include the HR Support Center, HRIS, People Analytics and Time Systems.

Prior to joining Tyson Foods, Karen was the Sr. Director Distributor Services at Mark Anthony Brands - The Mike’s Hard Lemonade Company. In that capacity, she led the shared services function for the North American sales organization standardizing inside sales transactions, technology decisions, and centralizing KPI reporting metrics.  In addition, she spent 10 years of her career in IT running applications teams with a focus on large scale project delivery in support of the technology strategy for companies, including Pepsi Beverage Companies, DeVry Education Group and Cancer Treatment Centers of America.  Karen spent her early career learning critical skills on how to influence change using technology, analytics and establishing strong relationships as Director, Sales Operations at Zurich Life Insurance for the inside sales call center. 

Karen grew up in the Chicagoland area earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business and Masters in Information Systems from Roosevelt University.  She holds multiple certifications including PMP, ITIL and Six Sigma Black Belt.
