Government Shared Services Delivery Director, January 2018

Since January 2018 Amanda has been in the newly created role of Delivery Director in Government Shared Services. She is responsible for managing the relationships between SSCL and its customer departments, with a remit to work with customers and supplier to improve service and performance levels, and customer satisfaction. Her remit also includes implementing process improvement and adopting the Global Designs for Finance and HR.

Finance Shared Services & Technology, March 2016 – January 2018

Amanda established a new team at the centre of the Finance Profession, with a remit to design and implement Global Processes for finance.  Working with all main Department Finance Directors and Financial Controllers, and reporting to the Operating Model Committee, the global design for 12 key finance processes were agreed by all of the main departments and (where appropriate) their ALBs.  A roadmap to adoption is now being developed.

Finance Director DECC, March 2014 – March 2016

Amanda led the Finance and Portfolio management directorate, integrating financial and portfolio management reporting. Her key achievements included improving financial and portfolio management to enable stronger business planning and implementation of Spending Review; restructuring of Finance, Estates, IT, Procurement and Portfolio teams; rationalisation of the DECC estate; implementation of the Single Operating Platform.

Amanda had a strong track record of running finance improvement programmes, bringing both departments to top quartile performance.
