TRACK A: PLANNING & LAUNCHING

3:00 pm - 3:45 pm BLOCKCHAIN FOR PAYMENT CLEARANCE, PAYMENT CONTRACT AND PROCURE TO PAY
Most payment processes consist either of manual paper processes or file/e-documents exchanges involving multiple parties. The payment cycle takes days to complete, and any exceptions or errors will further delay the process. The distributed ledger nature of blockchain establishes the prerequisite of connecting all the parties in a financial transaction in real time and simultaneously, opening up the possibility of processing the payment across all sides at the same time while supporting an audit trail and reducing the chances of fraud or security breaches.

TRACK B: TAKING YOUR MATURE FSSO TO THE NEXT STAGE IN ITS EVOLUTION

2:15 pm - 3:00 pm ACHIEVING TOUCHLESS OR INVISIBLE FINANCE WITHOUT OCR OR RPA
RPA, OCR, AI, Machine Learning, NLP and (insert your favorite automation buzzword here) are all technologies that promise to improve the accuracy and provide straight through/touchless processing of invoices. While these technologies provide a greater level of automation than manual processes, they don’t address the source of the challenge these technologies are solving - receiving paper and PDF invoices. How can you solve this challenge and move to a digital future? How should you think about your future F&A function where technologies don’t just act as stopgap fixes but contribute towards a holistic and even “invisible" enterprise capability?

In this session, we will review the critical success factors that will drive the F&A function of the future, towards “invisible” F&A. As an example of how organizations can think about this shift, we will review e-invoicing strategies that get away from paper and PDF challenges that OCR and RPA approaches tend to focus on. We will cover:
·          Common challenges of e-invoicing adoption by suppliers
·         An onboarding approach and segmentation that covers 100% of suppliers (top, middle and long tail)
·         How to offer a balanced approach to e-invoicing that benefits both buyers and suppliers

This discussion will provide some key strategies essential to drive a continuous improvement culture in your FSSO:
