In 2007, University of Melbourne introduced GL Wand into its core finance teams and over the last decade the active users have grown to over a hundred across multiple functions. Along the journey, University of Melbourne explored the comprehensive functionalities of GL Wand, which enabled a quick boost of efficiency in the finance and accounting teams, which a focus on creating real-time financial reports from GL and running powerful drilldowns. In 2015, University of Melbourne established a Shared Services model. GL Wand is now being used more widely in centralised departments, providing more effective operations support to academic divisions.
This presentation is going to showcase how University of Melbourne is using insightsoftware’s GL Wand to eliminate time-wasting tools and processes and leverage Excel to streamline reporting.
