MARGOT GUY – Vice President, Global Business Services- The Americas, Discovery
Margot is Vice President of Global Business Services – The Americas, she has held this role since May 2018. In this role she oversees five towers, including: Contract to Cash, Content Accounting, Record to Report, Payroll and Procure to Pay. Over the past year Margot has transitioned Discovery’s GBS process from Silver Spring, Maryland to Knoxville, TN. Now that the work is stabilized, Margot is working with her team to automate and optimize the processes. Before this role, Margot led the Scripps Internal Audit process which included Sarbanes Oxley annual control testing, partnering with the international internal audit group on various audits, coordinating testing with the external auditors and complete and oversee various operational and consulting engagements for Scripps Networks. From 2008 until 2015, Margot was at Marriott Business Services (now Accenture), where she was responsible for Marriott’s Revenue Services. In that capacity, she led a team of 36 and was responsible for activities covering Billing, Cash Application, Collections and General Accounting activities for 3,000 Marriott Franchise customer accounts and 200 inter-company relationships. Prior to Marriott Business Services, she held senior and manager level Internal Audit positions at General Cable Corp., Macy’s Inc., and Roto-Rooter Inc., all headquartered in the Cincinnati area. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Xavier University with a BBA in Accounting. Margot lives in Knoxville, TN with her husband and three children ages 5, 8 and 11. Margot enjoys spending time with her family, running and snow skiing.
