COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019): Information for our customers

Singapore, Updated 20th March 2020


IQPC is closely monitoring the evolving situation concerning the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The safety and well-being of our customers and staff are of utmost importance, and we are following all travel and health advisories from the World Health Organisation (WHO), Singapore’s Ministry of Health, and all respective National Health Authorities.

Our events are not large in scale, with general attendance at our conferences between 30-100 delegates. Our masterclasses are limited to 15-20 delegates.

All IQPC events will proceed as scheduled, unless notified separately. Please check specific event websites for more information.

In the case that attendees are unable to travel to a conference, streaming or video options will be available. Read more here.

IQPC is working with all event venues to implement precautionary measures and contingency plans for all events that we run.

What are the latest Government recommendations for events?

Singapore

The Singapore Government have stated that all ticketed cultural, sports and entertainment events, with 250 participants or more, are to be deferred or cancelled.

Malaysia

On 13 March 2020 Prime Minister Tan Seri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that all international conferences, mass gatherings and sporting events should either be cancelled or postponed. This will be imposed until April 30, following which Putrajaya will then review whether to extend it or otherwise depending on the situation.

Philippines

On 12 March 2020, The President of Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte announced that for 30 days they will implement Stringent Social Distancing Measures in the National Capital Region (NCR). Mass gatherings, defined as events where the number of people attending could strain the planning and response resources of the community hosting the event, shall be prohibited. Some of our precautionary measures include:

  • Daily Temperature Taking
    All IQPC employees will have their temperature taken twice a day.
  • Travel Declaration Form (IQPC)
    All IQPC employees have completed the travel declaration form on whether they have travelled to mainland China recently.
  • Complying with Leave of Absence (LOA) and Stay-Home Notice
    All IQPC employees with recent travel history to mainland China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, France, Germany and Spain will be required to complete a 14-day SHN, under which they have to stay at home and avoid social contact.
    All employees returning from overseas after 20 March will have to complete a 14-day SHN.

Additional precautionary measures at our events include:

  • On-Site Temperature Taking
    We will take the temperature of all participants across our events, before entering the event premises. We are working closely with the respective event venues to implement this process.
  • Travel Declaration Form (IQPC)
    All participants will be required to complete a travel declaration form on whether they have travelled to mainland China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, France, Germany and Spain recently. Those with recent travels to these countries will not be permitted to enter the venue premises.
  • Medical Support, Hand Sanitisers and Masks
    IQPC will work together with our respective event venues to check if they have additional medical support and contingency plans in the event any participant is not feeling well. IQPC will also work together the event venues to check if they will have hand sanitisers and masks in place for those who require them.

When will I receive my conference material?
Your conference handouts will be distributed on the first morning of the conference (unless otherwise stated in the event program). Additional conference material will be made available on a temporary website after the event. You will be provided with access details for this website at the conference.

When should I pay for the conference?
Payment must be received prior to the conference.

How should I pay for the conference?
Payment can be made online by credit card.

Are the meals included?
Yes, all refreshments and conference lunches have been carefully selected to offer you the best in banqueting. Check the agenda for times.

Can I register onto a workshop at the conference venue?
Yes, you may register onto workshops on site and our registration personnel will be happy to help you.

How many attendees will be at my conference?
This varies for each conference. Please do ask at our registration desk if you would like us to assist in facilitating meetings with anyone present to ensure you receive maximum benefit from the day.

How can I get to the venue?
The hotel phone number is listed within the conference information. Once registered, you will receive a Hotel & Conference Venue Location Map. Details are also available on the Venue & Accommodation page. Please contact us if you require any further information or assistance.

What about accommodation? 
The cost of the hotel accommodation and travel is not included in the registration fee. Details of the accommodation options are also included within the conference information, and on the Venue & Accommodation page. To take advantage of our corporate accommodation rate, please quote you are attending an IQPC conference when making your reservation.

What should I wear?
The dress code at the conference is business casual. The speakers usually come in business attire.

Special Needs
If you have any special needs, disabilities, and/or dietary restrictions that we may address to make your participation at our events more enjoyable, please do let us know when registering.

Will I receive any information from you in the mail?
After the conference, from time to time, you may receive brochures on related topics.

Are there any additional charges for my ticket?
All prices quoted are exclusive of any applicable duties or taxes (including any value added tax or other similar sales or turnover taxes or duties) properly chargeable in the jurisdiction where the event is held in accordance with applicable laws. Full payment must be made without any deduction or withholding.
