In 1989 Frank started an officers career in the German Airforce, where he headed several finance and business transformation projects besides his various leadership roles within the line organization. In 2002 Frank joined Deutsche Post DHL, where he became the CFO at DHL Solutions Asia Pacific in 2005 and took over the CFO IT role for DHL Logistics in 2007, followed by leading the strategy and planning role for IT at DHL Global Forwarding and Freight. In 2011 Frank became the program manager for large scale business transformation programs in DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight.
Frank has studied Business Administration at the University of the Armed Forces in Germany and holds a Ph.D. on Artificial Intelligence of the Martin Luther University Halle Wittenberg (Germany) and a post graduate diploma in International Management from the National University of Singapore.
Building on a strong academic foundation on Artificial Intelligence and Business Administration complemented by a vast experience in leadership, international and business transformation management as well as Functional Finance and IT Management, Frank is leading the multi-tower Global Shared Services Organization of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight since 2016. The shared services organization operates with 4600 employees located in Bogota, Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu and Manila augmented by 100 bots operated by a Virtual Delivery Center based in Chennai.
Following the decision to move their finance operations in-house, DHL Global Forwarding, Freight Shared Services has doubled its size, and is now app. 4,500 people strong, 10% of their entire employee base.
