Job Description:

Assist with the planning, design, development, and promotion of employee benefits programs. Develops creative solutions to provide benefits at (market) competitive rates to ensure company cost structure is appropriately aligned. Researches industry practices for benefits design and delivery and creatively applies best-practices to ensure cost management for competitive benefits packages. Benchmarks retirement plan provisions with updates as necessary to ensure retirement plan provisions support the executives. Responsible for having extensive knowledge of benefits programs. Guides Shared Services as necessary to ensure successful deliver of benefits programs. Maintains current understanding of all legislative changes impacting employee benefits. Assists in the development of benefit training and education materials.



- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business-related field

-Prefer Master's degree


-6-8 years of experience in benefit administration field

- Account or contract management experience preferred but not required

Equivalent Education and/or Experience

-May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.


-CEBS status preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Knowledge of federal and state benefits related laws and regulations

-Expertise in benefit plan and payroll

-Working knowledge of life and disability plans and programs

- Ability to successfully navigate HRIS system, tools and vendor carrier websites

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact positively with internal customers

-Ability to make decisions and operate independently with respect to complex issues and business requirements

- Proactive problem identification and problem solving skills

-Excellent customer advocacy skills

-Ability to thrive in a changing environment and deal with ambiguity; change agent

-Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results/goal orientation while meeting required deadlines

-Strong project management and organization skills
