Prior to AppZen, Asad held roles with SAP Concur and SAP, giving him extensive experience across finance technology, implementation, and customer operations.

CDM Smith's AP team went from keying invoices by hand to reviewing work that AI already did. Asli Monahan of CDM Smith joins Asad Malik of AppZen to share how they got there, from launching Autonomous AP in 2024 to building their first AI agent in 2026. That agent captures and validates project coding on non-PO invoices, and it lifted the touchless rate for those invoices from 9% to 26% in just over a month.
