With more than 20 years of experience across Procurement and Finance, Asli has been closely involved in CDM Smith's Concur and AppZen journey, including the implementation of Expense Audit, Autonomous AP, and the Corporate P-Card program.

Today, she is focused on what comes next—exploring how agentic AI can move Finance beyond automation toward intelligent, autonomous processes that can make decisions, take action, strengthen controls, and improve the employee experience. 10:30 AM CDM Smith’s AP Overhaul: From Hand-Keyed Invoices to AI Agents

CDM Smith's AP team went from keying invoices by hand to reviewing work that AI already did. Asli Monahan of CDM Smith joins Asad Malik of AppZen to share how they got there, from launching Autonomous AP in 2024 to building their first AI agent in 2026. That agent captures and validates project coding on non-PO invoices, and it lifted the touchless rate for those invoices from 9% to 26% in just over a month. Asli will share how her team protects accuracy while moving faster, what testing taught them about writing agent instructions, and what they're automating next.
