Operations Management covers a range of knowledge areas that result in the creation and management of efficient processes to deliver an organization's product or service.
The following 3 areas are considered core and will be covered in detail:
1. Operations Planning
Includes defining objectives, defining measures, process documentation and effort estimation.
2. Operations Control
Includes daily management and incident management.
3. Continuous Process Improvement
Includes quality management practices that include problem analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
This full Masters Program includes five core areas of training: Foundation, Service Management, Operations Management, Transformation Management and Leadership.
The Foundations course is based on a common set of terminologies. Having a shared language is important for any discussion around the business model/operating model and understanding how to operationalize work through GBS.
The three pillars modules that build on that foundation are: Service Management, Operations Management, and Transformation Management.
Students attending the onsite Operations Management Module on 21st April in Bangalore, India, may continue with their remaining modules virtually and receive the GBS Masters Certification.
