Laura Schmid serves as the Director of Shared Services for the Office of Human Resources at the University of Pittsburgh. Pitt’s OHR Shared Services works with Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, Employee & Labor Relations, and a variety of units across the institution to support the many departments and employees at the University. She possesses more than 30 years of experience in higher education in the areas of Undergraduate and Graduate Academic Affairs, Faculty Affairs, Personnel Management, and Academic Operations at the university.
