Erika Wilson is the Senior Director for both the Health Sciences Sponsored Projects Pre Award Office and the Health Sciences Research Service Core.

Erika is a long standing UC San Diego employee with 35 years of diverse experience in department business office and sponsored research management. She has held positions at the general campus, the Scripps Institute of Oceanography Marine Physical Laboratory, and the School of Medicine. She most recently served as the Director of Strategic Research Initiatives where she focused on the development and implementation of new sponsored research administration processes and programs in the Health Sciences. Erika is an acknowledged expert in pre- and post-award administration, thus bringing essential experience to this leadership role. Erika has been involved in many campus and Health Sciences initiatives in research administration including most currently eRAP and SPUG. She has also redesigned and launched the curriculum for the current highly successful Health Sciences Research Administration A-Z training program that is open to campus-wide participation.
