Richard is the acting deputy director for commercial shared services, tasked with establishing a shared commercial function to support activities across two Government Departments; the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, and the Department for Science, Innovation, & Technology. Richard previously led the Commercial Sustainability & Policy team for the Department for Business, Energy, & Industrial Strategy after joining the public sector from the private sector, having previously held procurement roles at the John Lewis Partners, Heathrow Airport, and British Airways.
