2:30 PM Reading the Signals: What 950 Workplaces Reveal about the Decisions Shaping the Office

OfficeSpace analyzed workplace behavior across nearly one thousand organizations, representing 3.9 million employees, 116 million square feet, and 27,000 spaces. The Built World Market Report captures measurable shifts in how workplaces are being used, planned, and managed, from utilization and collaboration to space planning and workplace operations.

In this fireside chat, Ali Stewart, Director of CX Strategy, Education & Scale at OfficeSpace, sits down with Andrew McDonald, Director of Corporate Real Estate & Operations at Q2, to explore the findings through the lens of real-world workplace leadership. Using the report as a framework for discussion, they'll challenge conventional assumptions around office utilization, examine new ways to measure workplace success, and discuss how organizations are adapting their strategies to meet evolving employee expectations.

From workplace strategy and hybrid work models to right-sizing portfolios, employee experience, operational costs, and the role of AI, the conversation draws on market-scale research, coupled with practical experience from the field. Together, they'll examine which workplace trends are proving durable, where leaders should rethink long-held metrics and practices, and how organizations can make confident decisions about the future of the office.
