The Compass Group (USA) launched its HR shared services five years ago. The transition, says Kevin Thorpe, Senior HR Consultant, was easier than anticipated – mainly because of piloting the operation a month before the official launch. Customers were easily won over as queries were resolved much sooner than before, when the "designated" HR person was not always available.
