Ashwini Shankar is the Winner of Australian CFO Awards 2022 – Financial Controller of the Year (SME). She is a Member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand with over 17 years of experience in management and leadership roles across private, public, and not- for-profit sectors. She is also a Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and was recognised as one of the youngest Chartered Accountants of the country. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Management with Certificate merit award in Business Statistics, Management Accounting and Quantitative Techniques. Currently she is heading the finance function at National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd. and has been responsible for the digital transformation of the finance function. Some of the positions previously held include Finance lead on the Australian Taxation Office Change Management Program worth over $600 million, leading the management of complex and specialised assets of Australian Sports Commission worth over $200 million and working as the Business Finance Manager and Treasury Manager of a multinational software development company Wipro Technologies with over $6 billion in annual revenue.
