This session follows Toyota's journey from a fully manual T&E audit process to one built on automation and agentic AI. Shirley Yu from Toyota and Luke Diaz from AppZen will share how Toyota invested in AppZen as its first line of defense, piloted automation where it made the most sense, and scaled as accuracy was proven out. Attendees will learn how to: 

• Identify which audit decisions are ready for automation vs. human judgment
• Balance compliance with reimbursement speed
• Use consistent oversight on small exceptions to reinforce the right behaviors
• Spot when noncompliance signals a policy or process gap, not bad intent
