Annette Hamann is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Head of Global Enterprise Solutions (GES) at Merck Group, a leading global science and technology company headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany. With over 20 years of experience in IT leadership and digital transformation, she enables the seamless integration of global business services with digital initiatives to drive operational excellence. Previously, as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Beiersdorf, Annette executed a comprehensive digital transformation strategy that established the Beiersdorf One Data Platform, implemented a data governance model, and successfully globalized the IT organization by establishing three international hubs. Her leadership in designing innovative AI use cases significantly improved operational efficiency, and her achievements were recognized with the CIO Impact Award 2025 from Confare, as well as being named among the Top 5 CIOs of the year in 2024.
