Phil Priest is currently Senior Vice President of Global Business Services for Smith & Nephew a FTSE 100 UK Medical Devices Company. Phil’s current role is to lead the Global Business Services Organisation. In Smith + Nephew. Phil has built a multi-functional GBS organisation from scratch that achieved level 3 in the Hackett benchmark just three and a half years after inception. Phil continues to lead transformation of the GBS function in the Medical Devices Company through customer centricity and digitalisation and well as growth in the core portfolio of services. Phil is an experienced Senior Leader in Business Services and Supply Chain and has held senior roles in the Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Industries spanning Business Services, Supply Chain Operations and Strategy. Phil was also previously the VP Service Development within GSK’s Core Business Services Organisation in this role he implemented and led a global network of 6 captive business service centres with >2,500 staff including Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and World-Wide Real Estate and Facilities. Phil applied his manufacturing and supply chain background to Shared Services where he has led the team that standardised many of GSK's shared services and expanded GSK shared services offering into new areas. Phil implemented a global network of captive Service Centres in Malaysia, Poland, UK, US and Costa Rica, he has a very significant background in Lean, Six Sigma and Change Management which underpins his approach to leadership. Throughout his career Phil is associated with delivery of many successful transformations in the Life Sciences FMCG and Chemical industries. Married to Liz, 3 children Elliot 26, Zara 15 and Mollie 11
