Priyaranjan (Ranjan) Jha is Senior Vice President and Head of Global Business Services at Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM), one of the world's most trusted information management and storage companies, serving over 90% of the Fortune 1000. Ranjan is responsible for strategy, transformation, execution, growth, and full P&L ownership of the GBS function at Iron Mountain. Ranjan brings 26 years of global experience across Global Capability Centres, GBS, transformation, technology, and marketing — spanning some of the world's most demanding operating environments. From 2019 to 2024, he served as COO of GBS at PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP), where he oversaw operations across seven global delivery hubs in China, Egypt, India, Mexico, Poland, Russia, and Spain, growing the organisation to over 5,000 associates from 30+ nationalities. He also personally led the setup of PepsiCo's greenfield GBS centre in Hyderabad, India, which became the company's largest hub with nearly 3,000 employees. Prior to PepsiCo, Ranjan spent formative years at GE-Genpact, Reliance Infocom, IBM India, and Tata Motors — building deep expertise in operations, digital transformation, and large-scale team leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from NIT Silchar and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He is also an angel investor in healthcare and employability. Colleagues describe Ranjan as an energetic, people-first leader with a unique combination of strategic vision and operational depth — someone who is deeply invested in the people and communities that GBS organisations build, as much as the business results they deliver. Outside work, Ranjan has a keen interest in medieval and colonial history, biographies, and spirituality.
In GBS, the conversations are often about what we do and who we are. But the business leaders are asking different questions: why does GBS exist, and how is it delivering outcomes that truly matter to the enterprise? In this session, Iwona and Ranjan will bring together the voices of business and GBS leaders on stage. Rather than focusing on process for process’ sake, “end-to-end” or AI as an objective, this conversation will challenge how GBS can continuously raise the bar by delivering on margin expansion, innovation and revenue growth. All that while navigating the unique complexities of Europe’s fragmented regulatory and digital environment.
• Through the eyes of the business leaders: how evolving business challenges are continually redefining GBS requirements
• What does it mean for GBS to be accountable not only for efficiency, but also for innovation and revenue impact?
• How can AI and digital be positioned as means to an end rather than ends in themselves?
