Head of Global Business Operations Diageo

Puneet Uppal heads up Global Business Operations in Diageo, based out of London. He leads a team of 2400+ professionals who provide design and delivery of commercial, supplier, employee, finance and master data capabilities to Diageo. He also sponsors Global Process and Data Councils and is a member of several executive transformation steering committees including Voyager, Leapfrog and Future of HR. Prior to joining Diageo in 2021, Puneet spent 8 years at Mondelez and 15 years at GE Capital/Genpact. His business operations career of 26 years spans across several industry groups including Financial Services, Insurance and Health Care, Logistics and Media & Entertainment, with most of his career in the Consumer Products space. This has given him a unique insight of the connections between policies, processes, systems & applications, data, risk, compliance & controls, talent, and its impact on business results, customer & employee engagement and experience. Outside of work, Puneet enjoys riding his motorbike and playing golf. He is married to Abhilasha, a Chartered Accountant. They are proud parents of son, Uday, who is busy building the Metaverse at Meta and daughter, Muskan, an investment banker in New York.
