Director of Finance Brisbane Grammar

Brett Walker-Davies is the Director of Finance at Brisbane Grammar School, one of Australia's top independent Schools. His core role leading the School's Finance function encompasses all aspects of budgeting & forecasting, financial and management accounting, tax, payroll, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, strategic procurement and legal. He is also Head of Internal Audit for the School's fledgling internal audit function, a project he has been passionate about given his historical experience in that space at PwC. In between PwC and BGS, Brett moved into various roles at Suncorp including process re-engineering, strategy, product management and project management. At BGS, his goal is to break the quarterly finance cycle and bring a true ‘guardianship mindset’ to financial sustainability – and thereby being a good custodian of an institution much bigger than himself.
