Jaya Prasad specializes in creative customer/employee engagement, captivating communications, and comprehensive change management. Jaya develops plans using a mix of traditional and innovative strategies in order to engage end-users in large-scale initiatives, particularly ones which are complex, long-term, and that involve significant behavior change. Prior to accepting the role as Dir, User Design Experience at Raytheon, Jaya spent six years at Fannie Mae, one of the largest financial services companies in America, moving through roles of increasing challenge and responsibility. Most recently, Jaya was the Director of Internal Communications for the Chief Operating Office and for company-wide employee engagement, change management, and crisis communication initiatives. Leading the strategy and communications for the company’s multi-year digital transformation initiative, Jaya also provided guidance to teams of technology product owners to prioritize features, develop launch strategy, and design and execute engaging communications plans to maximize employees’ technology product knowledge, training, and adoption (including mobile apps and new software/hardware deployment, etc.). Jaya was also corporate culture leader, helping to guide Fannie Mae through one of the most significant changes in its history – the relocation of the company’s headquarters and all other offices across the country (moving 7000+ staff). Jaya was also trusted advisor for C-Suite communications and led all large-scale, company-wide productions such as all-employee town halls, new initiative announcements, and CEO/President transitions. Jaya also lead user experience and design for the new open office concepts for Fannie Mae. Working closely with the architects, technology teams, facility operations, and the CEO, Jaya helped to design not only the look and feel of all of Fannie Mae’s new offices, but also the tactical operations of using the new spaces and technology (including processes, procedures, handbooks, orientations, etc.). Jaya holds a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from Florida State University and a certificate for Broadcast Journalism from Florida A&M University. Since 2013, she is also a Project Management Professional (PMP).
