Katharina Lay is a Senior Manager in EY Germany's People Consulting practice, where she helps organizations transform and modernize HR service delivery through Global Business Services (GBS), shared services, operating model redesign, and AI-enabled transformation. With extensive experience in HR transformation, operating model design, and service delivery transformation, Katharina supports organizations in rethinking how HR creates value for both the business and the workforce. She has advised global organizations across a wide range of transformation initiatives, helping them design future-state operating models, develop business cases, drive process standardization, and unlock value through digitalization, automation, and new service delivery approaches. Through her work with multinational organizations, Katharina has gained deep insight into the opportunities and challenges facing HR leaders today. She regularly facilitates executive workshops and stakeholder discussions, helping organizations align strategic ambitions with practical and sustainable transformation outcomes. Passionate about the future of work, Katharina is particularly interested in how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping HR and business services, enabling organizations to create more agile, efficient, and employee-centric functions
