Matthias Korte is a finance executive with Managing Director experience and a broad CFO foundation spanning Accounting, Controlling, Tax and Treasury. He currently serves as Global Head of Strategy & Customer Management, Finance Services at E.ON Accounting Solutions GmbH, where he shapes the strategy, transformation and value delivery agenda for Finance Services across the E.ON Group, with international functional leadership spanning Germany, Romania and Poland. Matthias holds an M.Sc. in Business Management from the University of Münster and began his career through an apprenticeship as an IT Management Consultant. He has held senior finance roles across RWE, innogy and E.ON, including Head of Tax Controlling, Risk Management & Digitalization at innogy SE and Vice President Tax Reporting & Digitalization at E.ON SE, where he led tax-related post-merger integration following the E.ON/innogy transaction. Throughout his career, Matthias has focused on finance transformation, performance steering, shared services and AI-enabled automation, acting as a senior sparring partner to CFOs, Managing Directors and governance bodies on strategy, efficiency and value creation.
