S4HANA Europe and HQ Finance Regional FP&T Functional Head Syngenta

With over 23 years of experience in finance transformation and global business services, Robert currently serves as the SAP S4HANA Finance Regional FP&T Functional Head at Syngenta. Since joining Syngenta in 2017, he has led numerous high-impact initiatives, including the EAME SAP S4HANA CFIN implementation, number of SAP ECC implementation all over the Syngenta world and the creation of a global portfolio process for finance under Finance Process & Technology umbrella. His leadership has been recognized with 25 awards from senior stakeholders, reflecting consistent delivery across complex, multi-cluster SAP projects.

Prior to Syngenta, he held senior lead advisory roles at Ernst & Young, where he established a new advisory line for GBS/GSS clients and led strategic projects for multinational corporations like Adidas and FrieslandCampina. His earlier roles at DTZ, Greif, Grundfos and DIAGEO involved building and optimizing GBS operations, ERP implementations, and financial process design.

He holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and has completed extensive leadership and finance training across Europe and the U.S. Fluent in English and proficient in German, he brings a global mindset and a passion for continuous improvement to every project.
