Sharmini joined Phillip Morris International in January 2021 as the President & Head of PMI Business Solutions (Philippines) Inc. The Manila center is now 340 employees strong supporting Customer and Consumer Solutions, Data Analytics and other new services. Manila is a Global Hub for PMI serving over 50 countries and 100 affiliates with further plans to expand in 2022 and 2023. Prior to joining PMI, Sharmini was the Managing Director & President of Lufthansa Services Philippines, since July 2016. The company was incorporated in 2016 and her role included setting up the company in Manila to support Finance and Contact Center Operations for Lufthansa Group of businesses. Sharmini started her career in KPMG, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1996, as an Accountant & Auditor and moved to SS&C Technologies, Connecticut, USA, as a Business Consultant in 1999. Sharmini is a CPA, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting She is married and has 3 children. Her key leadership lessons learnt are, people come first and the rest is strategy and execution. Everyone wants a great career and she wants to help them achieve it.
