Carlos Chiozza

Carlos was appointed Head of GAS HR & Manila for BHP in July 2016. He is responsible for shared services Human Resources (HR) globally and is the country manager for GAS in Manila, Philippines.

Over the 20 years of his professional career, he has held a variety of leadership roles covering shared services centre operations start-ups in Chile, Malaysia and the Philippines. He also has experience in global project and program management, Six Sigma and SAP HCM consulting across the Asia Pacific region and the Americas.

Prior to BHP, Carlos was at SAP and Telecom where he held a variety of project management roles in multiple industries including mining, oil and gas, retail and pharmaceutical. He has also held consulting roles for HR strategy, change management and continuous improvement.

Key highlights of Carlos’ career include transforming the cultural and operating model of GAS HR in Kuala Lumpur and setting up BHP’s second GAS centre in Manila.

He has a strong belief and focus in evolving the Shared Services’ delivery models and capabilities towards customer experience to create value across the organization.
