Chief Operating Officer General Electric

Bjorn is Chief Operating Officer for GE Global Operations, GE’s shared services organization. Since March 2019, when he assumed this role in addition to being General Manager for GE Global Operations for the Europe, Russia & CIS region, he has played a key role in the evolution of Global Operations’ operating model to support GE’s business-centric strategy.

Before joining GE Global Operations in October 2013, Bjorn was President & CEO of GE Capital Working Capital Solutions, a global provider of financing and servicing solutions to enhance cash-flow and treasury management. It has a global presence with regional headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut and Breda, the Netherlands

Prior to this Bjorn was Chief Financial Officer for GE Capital EMEA, an $83 billion asset business with a wide range of commercial finance operations in 14 countries and, more recently, includes GE Capital’s retail banking operations in Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Nordics and Switzerland.

From 2006 –‘10, Bjorn was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at GE Energy Financial Services – a global financial business which invests across the capital spectrum in essential, long-lived and capital-intensive energy assets.

Previously, Bjorn was Chief Financial Officer at GE Commercial Finance- Corporate Financial Services in Europe based in London, England. His career with GE started in 1993 as a finance manager at GE Capital Nordic and he has held positions of increasing responsibility in GE’s European Leasing business and Corporate business development.
