Procure to Pay is the most common and therefore probably the most critical processes in shared services and GBS organisation, yet the maturity of AP and P2P has a lot of room for improvement. In a recent SSON R&A and Basware research, just 36% of respondents regard themselves as “expert” or high maturity, and just less than 6% as “highly automated”. How are we leveraging existing technology and drive the maturity level to build more value into the AP process is therefore a huge priority for many organisations.
