Pedro F. López is an international executive with over 25 years of work experience, currently working at Sandoz, the leading company in generic and biosimilar medicines. He is the Global Head of Sandoz Competency Centers, where he led the definition and implementation of the global business services setup, as a spin-off from Novartis. His previous experience in Novartis, includes strategic and operational roles in multiple geographies, with full P&L and strategic accountability for multi-functional global, regional and local organizations (e.g. Head of CTS China, Head of Global Service Center in Dublin and Prague, Global Head of the Novartis Knowledge Center, Global Head of Panning for Product Lifecycle Services). Prior to joining Novartis in 2013, Pedro was for three years Head of Business Solutions at The Global Fund to fight AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis in Geneva, position that he reached after an extensive career in management consulting with Accenture, spanning across geographies and industries. Pedro received his MBA from the IE Business School and his master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Málaga, Spain. He also studied Artificial Intelligence: Implications on Business Strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He has developed his career in multiple continents and countries, and enjoys the collaboration opportunities and diversity of people that global roles offer. In his personal life, he feeds his curiosity travelling with his family and uses photography as a communication tool.
