Horace is now the Vice President, Global HR & Transformation at afiniti. Prior to this, Horace Porrás led the transformation of the Human Resources function and of the Latin America organization that generates USD 1.5 Billion revenue at American Tower Corporation to rapidly align to the Company’s expansion and growth, as well as to serve its customers with agility, while enabling its digital transformation and a strong focus in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Sustainability. Horace has played a key role throughout the pandemic, ensuring business continuity across the region, and leading the global HR practice for several countries in Europe and Latin America for the largest acquisition process for American Tower in its history (USD 9 Bn). Born and raised in New Jersey, USA, also lived and worked in Brussels (Belgium), Milan (Italy), Bucharest (Romania), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Minnesota (USA), and for the past several years, in Miami, Florida. Speaking fluently English, Spanish and Portuguese, as well as knowledge of French and Italian, has allowed Horace to forge over 25 years of global experience in Human Resources, holding different international roles, such as Head of Human Resources for Continental Europe, or Head of Global Mobility (7,500 expatriates in 80 countries), in several multinational companies such as Schlumberger, the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industry, and in other organizations like Cargill, Mastercard and McDonald's. Horace has extensive experience in talent management & development; organizational development, transformation & efficiency; succession planning; performance management; international compensation, benefits and incentives; implementation of global KPIs to achieve operational excellence; programs and procedures; talent acquisition and HR policies for the Americas, Europe, and globally, while also working for many years in Mergers & Acquisitions and integration of companies. One of the highlights of his career has been integrating people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) into several of the companies that he has worked for, mainly as Global Ambassador for Best Buddies International. Horace serves on the Boards of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (South Florida Committee) and Junior Achievement Miami, and holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and a Master in Human Resources Management.
