John Emerson Turner is the Executive Director of Maintenance Operations at UT Health San Antonio, overseeing critical infrastructure, utility systems, internal controls, safety training, BAS operations, and 24/7 control room functions. Promoted on merit in 2024, he leads preventive maintenance, customer service for complex utility issues, fleet and logistics programs, uniform and contract administration, and campus renovation coordination. He has delivered major institutional improvements, including a seamless AiM upgrade, BAS modernization, and multiple cost-saving initiatives. Previously, he directed business processes, utilities, and operations across university units, consistently modernizing systems, strengthening compliance, and advancing institutional goals.
