Preetha Sekharan

Preetha Sekharan, is currently the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at Hudson Valley Credit Union where she is accountable for driving the strategy & execution of the AI transformation. With 20+ years of experience, she brings deep expertise in building and scaling applied AI and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities, launching innovative digital products, and leading enterprise wide transformation. Prior to the credit union, she was at Unum Group as the VP, Digital Incubator and Applied AI where she defined the strategy, led the AI CoE and delivered award winning AI and ML solutions, driving operational efficiencies and customer experience improvements. Preetha has a strong technical and strategic background, with her earlier experiences at McKinsey & Company and Booz & Company, advising financial services and insurance organizations on large scale business & digital transformation. She holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Technology.
