International Chamber of International Business or Indian Chamber of International Business as its popularly known as, is one of the leading organizations in India that supports and assists Micro, small and medium companies to grow globally by means of increasing exports, importing the latest technologies and machinery, encouraging joint ventures with leading international companies, investing in developing and developed markets for growth and expansion, all while ensuring protection and sustainability of environment and our surroundings.
It was started in 2007 to promote internationalization and globalization of the Indian MSME industry. Over a period of time ICIB became instrumental in guiding industry and trade of India, both under the manufacturing and service sectors to get a firsthand experience of looking outward. This helped the industries to expand in international regions from Americas to south East Asia over a period of time. ICIB has been instrumental in promoting joint ventures, technology transfer, import substitution, access to new markets for import of new technologies and products for India and increasing the exports of the country to say the least.
ICIB promotes one to one interactions and custom services for all members of the organizations and it has an outreach program in many parts of the globe. It has partner organizations in 42 countries and 14 states of India in addition to other supporting institutions globally. ICIB interacts with government and private institutions both within India and abroad in support of its members and to take the various issues to these agencies and governments. Broad sectors of interests include Manufacturing, imports, exports, services etc. ICIB recognizes the importance of promoting growth in services and manufacturing sectors and provides several initiatives in wide variety of sectors such as health care, tourism, education, engineering, communications, transportation, information technology, banking, finance, management, renewable energy, waste management among others.
Our prime focus is now MSME Internationalisation, growth of our members by exports, technology upgradations, import substitution, helping them start exports and new businesses, rural entrepreneurship and empowerment and special emphasis is on Industry – Academia connect. We are working with reputed partners like BARC and IIT Mumbai in addition to many other government and private organizations on these projects. This is in addition to all other standard activities of a chamber of commerce.
