Assistant Controller ConEdison

Jack Deen is the Assistant Controller, Consolidated Edison (one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the United States, serving New York City and the surrounding area with over $62 billion in assets and $16 billion in annual revenues). As Assistant Controller, Jack oversees accounting functions related to the capital ruling process, capital appropriations process, month-end allocations and burdens, general ledger account reconciliations, and all non-energy billing, receivables, and collections activities. He has also coordinated the activities of a portfolio of Finance People Teams with the unified objective of attracting, developing, and retaining the best people in Finance. Prior to joining Con Edison, Jack was the CFO Services lead for the Utility Industry practice of Deloitte Consulting. While at Deloitte, Jack gained extensive finance transformation experience implementing process, system, control, and organizational improvements. He also has significant experience in shared services implementation, financial closing and reporting optimization, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Jack has an MBA and a BS in Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University
