Kwan is responsible for the strategy, planning and management of all service functions and plays a critical role in driving greater operational and commercial efficiency for GBS’s directly managed operations. In his role as the Head of Standard Chartered Global Business Services India, he provides leadership and strategic direction for the Bank’s largest multi-disciplinary competency centre with over 20,000 employees operating out of Chennai and Bangalore.

Kwan joined the Bank in 1994 and has held diverse leadership roles across Technology and Operations (ITO), Finance and Audit in various countries. Before moving to India, Kwan served as the Head of Standard Chartered Global Business Services Malaysia and was instrumental in setting up the Global Collective Intelligence and Command Centre, a state-of-the-art digital nerve centre for Standard Chartered. 

Kwan is a qualified CPA from Malaysia and holds an MBA from the Henley Management College, UK.  He is married with three children and enjoys badminton in his leisure time.
