Nyon Kam Yew joined Shell as a Graduate in May 1992, and has since enjoyed a wide breadth of career in Downstream Retail business and Contracting & Procurement. He started in Downstream Retail as Territory Marketing Executive in Johor and Melaka. In 1996 he became the Business Development Executive for Non-Fuels Retailing (  later known as Convenience Retailing ) for Malaysia, tasked with expanding the Select Convenience Store for Shell in Malaysia. In 1999, he moved to Contracting & Procurement ( CP )  and since then assumed a number of local, cluster, regional and global roles . He assignments included the CP Business Manager for Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam based in Bangkok from 2002 to 2004 and Regional Retail Procurement Manager for Asia Pacific based in Bangkok and subsequently moved to Beijing in mid 2005 to end 2008 under the similar role. He played a key role in developing and managing the regional Project Management Company contracts to deliver the significant growth plan of  Retail network in Asia Pacific, particularly in the New Market Entries ( NMEs ).
Nyon returned to Malaysia in Jan 2009 and became the Global Category Management & Contracting Process ( CMCP ) Design & Implementation Manager, he was instrumental in redesigning & redeploying the refreshed CMCP to all Contracting & Procurement staff globally. He then assumed the role of Global Contingent Workforce Services ( CWS ) Manager in 2010 based in SBSC KL, and in this role he successfully on-boarded the CWS operational activities in various regions globally into single word-class global operations in KL, which served as a strong foundation for the establishment of Contracting & Procurement Operations ( CP Ops ) in 2011, using SBSCs as key footprint  In 2011, Nyon was appointed as the Global Operational Excellence ( OE ) Manager of CP Ops. Together with his colleagues in the global leadership team, he was responsible for setting up and stabilizing the new CP Ops organization globally and delivering the its key priorities through the SBSC’s.  He also managed the Continuous Improvement & Management Information portfolio and drives the People & Performance agenda in his role as CP Ops OE Manager. 
In July 2014, he assumed the role of General Manager, Shell Business Service Centre KL ( now known as Shell Business Operations or SBO KL ). In this role, Nyon is accountable to deliver the day-to-day operational excellence for SBO KL and to drive the future growth agenda for SBO KL. 
 
Nyon holds a Bachelor Honors Degree in Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia and an MBA with distinction from University of Nottingham in Malaysia. He is married with 3 children and his favorite past time is traveling for leisure, general outdoor activities, exercising in the gym, reading and watching movies.
