SSON Awards

Once again, the shared services community convened at the European Shared Services and Outsourcing Week in Manchester last week. As an integral part of this event, and a fixture for many many years, the industrry's most recognized and respected Awards are announced.

SSON's Shared Services & Outsourcing Excellence Awards are globally recognized, and are awarded in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. The Awards ceremony is presided over by the judging panel and honors and celebrates both Shared Services delivery centers and, most importantly, their service delivery teams who have exceeded industry standards in their respective SS&O initiatives and categories.

This year's judges were:

Year-on-year we see an increased number of applications for these five categories. Notable this year was the extreme popularity of the "Automation" category, reflecting the emergence of robotic processing capability and intelligent automation across the shared services landscape. The Maersk team walked off with the sought after proze in this category. Separately,  congratulations to the team at Tarmac led by Andrew Parris, who won not one, but two categories: Best Shared Services Team and Excellence in Culture Creation, perhaps highlighting the fact that "culture eats process for breakfast".

We are delighted to recognize and celebrate winning Shared Services Organizations as follows:
