As Shared Service Centres (SSCs) grow into Global Business Service (GBS) Centres, ‘jobs’ are transitioning into ‘careers’. This creates the need for developing structured career paths, and offering training to support the professionalisation of the SSO/GBS sector.
In this survey, we aim to examine GBS organisational needs, to gain a better understanding of the talent management issues which need to be addressed in order for GBS centres to support the achievement of their own and their enterprise goals. The subsequent report will give an overview of current and best practice and suggest how Learning and Development can be managed more effectively in order to identify, support and retain the essential multi-functional talent which successful GBS centres will need.
