Human Capital Management (HCM) had been growing prominence for investors and companies since well before 2020, but the pandemic has thrust it into the spotlight.

Knowing how to utilise HCM can fundamentally keep organisations improve their employee performance, increase retention and achieve better results - critical milestones as we gear towards the Future of Work (FoW).

To assess the impact of the pandemic and gather insights on HR, payroll and managed services, the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) ran a global survey in collaboration with Zellis to ask critical questions about the current and future state of HCM. Throughout this report the responses and key takeaways from the survey are analysed and future opportunities identified.
