Redefining What’s Possible – Technology Drives Performance

The Philippines’ traditional value-add and key attraction have been its low cost resources and a culturally aligned work ethic, which meshes so well with North America in particular. While local Shared Services providing global enterprise support will continue to play their role, there is no denying the signs that robotic process automation (RPA) is emerging as a solution that will impact the offshore services equation.

Its impact is already being felt in multinationals becoming increasingly desensitised to the cost of labour. At the same time, local Shared Services centres have been quick to adopt robotic process automation capabilities to improve performance, relying less on human labour – and using this freed up time to provide more valuable services.
