With more than half of organizations looking to outsource their business processes, Egypt has cemented itself as a hub for outsourcing and IT offshoring.
Tom Bangemann, Head of Research and Development for SSON Research & Analytics, recently spoke to the value of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region where Egypt is located, saying “for most, MENA is one of the less obvious choices for GBS to locate to. Nevertheless, there are some very interesting options. Based on SSON R&A databases, salary levels can be almost as low as in India. The footprint in several locations in the region is growing. Talent is still abundant. As an addition to the global GBS footprint, the region will most likely profit from the issues in other parts of the world.”
