A recent Hackett report confirms that 90% of companies are running some form of shared services, and Finance as a function is included in most of these. However, while we are anticipating rapid growth in the globalization of finance services delivery across all process domains – not every organization is ready to take on the challenge successfully.

Only few existing shared services models have achieved a high level of maturity, which generally means running the shared services as an independent business unit, operating under competitive conditions, with new roles & responsibilities, and taking on end-to-end process ownership.
