The FCA’s new consumer duty has placed a tight timeline on implementing rules for financial services firms and other regulated services by July 2023. The onus is on the companies to ensure four key areas of consumer care for the protection of vulnerable customers:
- Fair Value for money
- Suitability of treatment
- Consumer confidence in the market and organization
- Suitable products to meet diverse consumer needs
