The pandemic has woken enterprises up to the fact that the shared services model is not just reliable, but the right choice in increasingly uncertain and unpredictable times.

SSON data shows eight of 10 SSOs planning to aggressively scale services and scope in the years ahead. Those that might have taken a slower tack to expansion just a year ago now find themselves under pressure to move full steam ahead.

This report analyses the extent to which statutory reporting and tax provide a lucrative opportunity for centralisation and automation. It confirms statutory reporting as already significantly centralised in modern operations (56%) – with more planning to move that way within the next five years.
