Process excellence is the methodologies businesses apply to improve processes in a manner that creates and delivers value to their customers. In order to achieve process excellence, businesses must first understand and map their processes to best understand the quickest way to bring them to the desired level of excellence.
Businesses that begin their process excellence journey will typically partner with a process exploration provider that makes it easier to map and understand the very processes they are attempting to improve. Process exploration tools such as process discovery, process mining, and task mining are currently being used by 33% of shared services organizations (SSOs), with another 12% looking to implement them in the next year, according to SSON data.
